Kenosha Pass, at about 10,000 feet on US 285, is covered in aspen groves that turn gold in late September. The Colorado Trail crosses the pass, and the trail north and south of the road leads through the aspen, with views across the wide, open basin of South Park.
Scenic drive
The Guanella Pass Scenic Byway climbs north from Grant, near Kenosha Pass, over the mountains to Georgetown through aspen groves and high country. From Como, south of the pass, Boreas Pass Road climbs to Breckenridge.
